Student Success Statement

''In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.'' - Theodore Roosevelt This statement is true. Although is doesn't provide any guidance as to what the ''right'' thing is. How can anyone follow this advice if they if it offers no clarification. Not everyone knows what to do when it comes to making the right choice. Is there ever a true ''proper'' choice or does everything have its own good and bad side. When the moment comes people typically do not have time to think of what choice to make. Many act upon the first thing that pops into mind. This can only help those who already are in touch with their conscience and have awareness of themselves. This saying will apply to a certain sort. This is however, simply my own personal opinion.

STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT

''I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.'' - Abraham Lincoln I agree with this statement. It is a very noble thing to say. It is always a right thing to stand by those who are standing for what is right. When the time comes to no longer stand with the dishonest man then so be it. It is never good to support those whose intentions are in the wrong place. Even if leaving someones side is the unpopular opinion, the action must be taken. For example, standing with those who support cruel acts are examples of wrong intentions. Winning is not always the most important thing. Being true is a very powerful capability, never wrong it. Being true is a very honorous thing.

PRESIDENTS DAY

Presidents day is an American holiday that is celebrated on the third Monday of February. It has long been celebrated since 1885. It was originally a day made for President George Washington as celebration. It was originally called ''Washington's Birthday''. The meaning wasn't moved until 1971. In today's times, it is celebrated as a day of honoring all the past American presidents. You can show your honor and respect on this day by doing many activities. Some may include attending or visiting any president related activity such as reenactments, parades, museums, galleries, etc. Or simply by recognizing the past leaders of America in your own private way. I can show my honor and respect on Presidents day  by acknowledging them and learning more about them at home. I can engage on their history by reading books i have about them. Presidents Day/ Washington's birthday is a federal holiday. Even if it federal, each state is free to call and celebrate it a...

STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT

'' Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for 'tis better to be alone than in bad company.'' - George Washington This quote is something I agree with. It speaks truth when it comes to which crowd is the better option to hang around. It is better to be alone than around others who will force you to take bad actions. Always choose people you know will respect your opinions. If they force you to do bad things, then they are not worth hanging around with. The best reputation is that of a clean reputation. If you have been force into a bad reputation, it will not appeal. Associate yourself with those of good qualities. If they will improve you, they are worth it. Improve as a whole, do not take any negative actions because there will be consequences. For example, if you start hanging around a crowd that like to disrespect others , then you will not benefit the situation. If you hang around crowds that follow their morals and h...
