STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT

''I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.'' - Abraham Lincoln

I agree with this statement. It is a very noble thing to say. It is always a right thing to stand by those who are standing for what is right. When the time comes to no longer stand with the dishonest man then so be it. It is never good to support those whose intentions are in the wrong place. Even if leaving someones side is the unpopular opinion, the action must be taken. For example, standing with those who support cruel acts are examples of wrong intentions. Winning is not always the most important thing. Being true is a very powerful capability, never wrong it. Being true is a very honorous thing.

While it mat be true that poverty can eventually be overcome, many out there do work hard and give it their all at what they do yet they still do not escape. Usually when doing something that is right you never really get a physical reward. The satisfaction is internal since you yourself commited the act. At times there might not be any witnesses. Physical recognition comes for other reasons. When you acknowledge those factors, right truly will feel like a phenomenon. The feeling you get when doing right is like no other. That is the only feeling apart from all others. That sense of well being will not be caused by any thing else. Reward over moral is a great prize.

''They're only truly great who are truly good.'' - George Chapman You can define greatness if you first act out of good. In order to be good you must put others before you. The real greatness is not strength or reputation, it is the good acts committed. You can not be great if you are living with a soul purpose to wreck havoc and spread a negative mood.  For example, you cannot be great by bullying someone. Bullying is not a positive act. It is not a tolerable act in the eyes of good will. Greatness comes to those who are selfless and whom to not have a rotten heart. You cannot be greedy and selfish and attain greatness all at once. Where there is anything but pureness and good, there will never be an ounce of great.
