ORTHODONTIST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The main concept of an Orthodontist is to correct teeth alignment and guide proper facial development. They straighten teeth and correct bites. The responsibility of an Orthodontist is to locate and position their oral development. They may use x rays and plaster molds to identify a patients needs. They also apply dental appliances such as braces, retainers, and space maintainers. They must plan custom treatment plans to each individual patient. Orthodontists may guide, supervise, and instruct orthodontic technicians.

EDUCATION

The first step in becoming an Orthodontist is to attend and graduate a dental school with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDM). Required courses include chemistry, biology, physics, and organic chemistry. You must take a Dental Acceptance Test (DAT). You will receive clinical training and experience. From there courses depend on with dental field you choose to enter. 

DEMAND FOR CAREER

This career has a high importance when it comes to the health field. Without them oral maintenance and assistance would be very difficult to attend to. 

REFLECTION

While this career does fascinate me, and it does hold my interests, I do not think it is the most suitable career path for myself. I would need to give this job more thought before I whether or not decide if it is the right career for myself.

Yet, I can't help but disagree at its exaggeration. Trust and loyalty can only go so far and do so much. While it is true, having those qualities and being true to your word is incredible, it can not be the only action. For example, to die out of a promise seems extreme. There are many ways to fufill a promise and be a trustworthy person. Dying should not be considered. Staying true is one thin...
